Even after the several hundred weddings we have shot over the years, we are still blown away by how fast the days go. There is just something about a wedding day that makes the time fly. This is doubly true for the couples we are photographing. We know this – we have asked, and we have been there with our own wedding. Your wedding day will be one of the fastest days you will ever experience. So as cliché as it sounds, try to enjoy as much of it as you can and don’t worry, there will more fun to be had long after the wedding day has passed.

The number one question we get just might be, “What can we do to make the best photos?” Some obvious answers might be to make sure you have great hair and makeup, that the dress is pressed and beautiful and that the decor is creative, fun, and even elaborate. All of these are definitely great things to keep in mind, but we truly feel that the best thing a couple can do to make both their wedding and their photos outstanding is to have as much fun as possible.

The best photos we have ever taken have been of couples who have decided that the most important feature of the day is the love and joy they have for each other. They have embraced that concept completely, so even if they get thrown a curveball, the photos are magical. Our main focus with our photography is to try to capture emotions. Yes, we shoot the details and the dress, but really, what we want to give you is a moment of joy and love captured in an image. So the long and short of it is: have fun, try not to let the obstacles drag you down (there will be a few for sure), and know that with great people around you, it’s all going to be amazing. And of course, you’ll have the pictures to prove it.
